This is an AU in which Magnus Bane was born in 1905, putting him at 103 in 2008, the time in which The Mortal Instruments takes place. He's far younger, and therefore less experienced in life and magic. He's at a point in time where he's rebelling hard against everything he can. His time is spent partying, drinking, sex, and doing questionable things.
He is not the High Warlock of Brooklyn. He never met Jocelyn, never did the memory spell for her, and has never met our group of wayward Shadowhunters. Nor did he ever participate in the London shenanigans, as he wasn't alive at the time.
